The PlayStation team is excited to partner with Red Bull for the second year of their virtual photography competition, Red Bull Capture Point. Following last year’s competition success, Red Bull Capture Point is going global by welcoming additional markets to join in 2022, allowing entry-level photographers from nine countries to submit their captures. them for a chance to attend a one-time show in New York City and a chance to win some incredible PlayStation and Red Bull prizes. The game is the ultimate visual medium, giving every player the opportunity to see amazing worlds from their own unique perspectives. From exploring futuristic landscapes to driving you’ve never had before in real life, there’s a ton of experiences the game can offer that simply couldn’t. As technology has improved, people also have the ability to capture these worlds and experiences through in-game screenshots and photo modes – the best of which will be celebrated in Red Bull Capture Point.
This year, we asked advertisers to show off their skills in Guerrilla’s stunning open-world adventure Horizon Forbidden West and Polyphony Digital’s stunning Gran Turismo 7* racing simulator – two of the The most eye-catching game on the PlayStation console. We’re looking for beautifully curated photos – so snap up and show us your best!
Aspiring photographers can submit photos in four categories, with each category representing a different subject. There will also be one Grand Final winner in the show for each region. Each category will be open for a period of two weeks and will have its own unique requirements, which will be shared across Red Bull Gaming on social networks and the contest website a few days before entries open. To participate, gamers must share their screenshots to Twitter via the PlayStation Network, using the main hashtag # Red Bull Capture Point The formula will vary by region.
To select winners, a panel of expert judges will rank entries for each category based on theme interpretation, implementation techniques, and originality of the concept. In addition, the best entries will be hand-picked by several key figures in the virtual photography scene, including Kate Reed (@kaytanaa, US), Petri Lev Alahti (@Berduu, Sweden) ) and chief judge Mik Bromely (@TheFourthFocus, US).
In total, One of the Best Show winners from each country will be invited to an exhibition in New York City, with an all-expenses-paid trip, including sessions. Workshops with professional photographers to improve their skills.
The winner will also receive an incredible Red Bull prize packageincluding PlayStation 5 consoles, official peripherals, and more.
Red Bull Capture Point is open to aspiring photographers in Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States and Sweden.
