Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to roll out 6G in India by THIS date; check now


Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India is aiming to bring 6G network by the end of this decade. A task force for the same has been set up.

Speaking at the silver jubilee event of the country’s telecommunications regulator TRAI (Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India) on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is moving towards the rollout of its telecommunications network. 6G communication by the end of the decade and a task force has begun to work on the same. Emphasizing the need to double down on this technology, he said that 5G technology will contribute $450 billion to the Indian economy over the next decade and a half. “Not just the speed of the Internet, 5G will also accelerate economic development and create jobs. By the end of this decade, we will be able to launch 6G services and our task force has already started working on it,” said Prime Minister Modi.

Prime Minister Modi said India will roll out 6G network by the end of this decade

Currently, India already has 3G and 4G telecom networks and is preparing to launch 5G in the next few months. Talking about the past, he said that the 2G era was marked by “corruption and policy paralysis” but with the advent of 4G, the country moved towards transparency. Prime Minister Modi also emphasized that mobile manufacturing units in India have expanded from 2 to more than 200 and that the country is “the largest mobile manufacturing center in the world today”.

Noting the current trend, he said that the density of phone and Internet usage is expanding rapidly in the country. The Prime Minister also said that his government has encouraged fair competition which has resulted in India having one of the cheapest telecom data rates in the world. He added: “The native 5G test bed in the telecom sector is an important step in India’s self-reliance.

Now, towards the 6G networks, PM Modi intends to focus on the next phase of telecom technology from the ground up so that India does not lag behind other countries as the globe begins to roll out new bandwidth. . A task force has begun to do the same.

Timing is critical as various studies have been conducted in Europe, China, Japan and the United States to become a leader in not only 5G but also 6G technology. The rollout of just 5G networks is being seen as a trillion dollar global opportunity for the mobile industries, and 6G will only increase its reach even further.
