Pregnant Chicago A woman has been charged with murder after police say she stabbed her soon-to-be father while bathing her baby, allegedly for using a microwave to heat up some food.
Keshia Golden, when she was eight months pregnant, said she was defending herself against her boyfriend, Calvin Sidney, 29, when she stabbed him in the early morning of October 22.

Prosecutors said the controversy escalated over the use of the microwave, prompting Golden, 33, to knock a plate out of Sidney’s hand, who then pushed her against the counter in return.
Sidney’s uncle is said to have tried to separate the two before Sidney went to one of the bedrooms, where Golden is said to have tracked him with a knife and stabbed him in the leg, leaving him mortally wounded after The knife pierced the femoral artery.
Golden then dropped the knife and left the apartment, according to prosecutors.

Sidney later died at Mount Sinai Hospital. Unaware of her boyfriend’s death, she returns to her apartment where she was arrested, New York Post report.
“It’s only toxic to those two,” the suspect’s mother said of the couple, who had experienced domestic abuse five times before.
Tarsha Ellis, Golden’s mother, said “it was just toxic to those two,” but stressed Sidney wouldn’t want to press charges against her if he survived.
“It’s just toxic to those two things,” Ellis said. “But they fell in love. If he could stand up now, they wouldn’t have a case because he would never want to be charged against her.”
Authorities revealed that five other domestic violence incidents took place between the two, four of which Golden accused Sidney of punching. choke, slap or push her.
In the fifth incident, Sidney accused Golden of domestic abuse, only to reduce her guilt later.
Golden will make an upcoming appearance before a judge which her attorney-in-law revealed will be scheduled less than two weeks before her due date.

The child will now be born behind bars, where it will be immediately taken from her after birth, according to Golden’s public defender Julie Koehler.
“Not only forcing Keshia to give birth in prison but immediately taking her baby away after birth is cruel to the mother and baby,” Koehler told The Sun-Times.
Meanwhile, Golden’s mother insisted that her daughter “didn’t kill anyone” and “she didn’t know you could kill someone by stabbing them in the leg”.
Golden’s mother, Tarsha Ellis said. “She broke up about it. She didn’t know you could kill someone by stabbing them in the leg. She just wants him to leave because he’s acting up, and she’s worried she’ll hurt the baby. And he won’t go.”
Golden was bailed for $2 million on Friday.
