Hero World Challenge 2022 Field, odds

Odds provided by Caesars Sportsbook

  • Jon Rahm (5-1): The Spaniard is the rightful favorite in his third appearance in the World of Heroes Challenge. Having won and finished second in his previous two outings, Rahm should continue where he left off around Albany. He arrived having just won the DP World Tour Championship but still felt underappreciated. Although his wins in 2022 lacked high-quality pitches, he has still reached the winning round three times in his last 13 tournaments.
  • Scottie Scheffler (February 15)
  • Tony Finau (9-1)
  • Xander Schauffele (9-1)
  • Justin Thomas (12-1): The newlywed Thomas won’t be honeymooning in the Bahamas, but he’ll hope to have an equally enjoyable time. He has become somewhat of a big game hunter in recent years; His most recent victories include the 2022 PGA Championship and the 2021 Players Championship. Strong in quality but the 29-year-old has plenty of talent but lacks quantity. Thomas is quietly an unlimited competitor, great in the limited field and should take the Hero World Challenge seriously.
  • Viktor Hovland (12-1)
  • Matt Fitzpatrick (14-1): The British tennis player had a disappointing end to his DP World Tour season. Finishing second behind McIlroy in the DP World Tour Rankings, Fitzpatrick took control of his own destiny through 36 holes at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Eventually fading into the weekend, he’ll find his way back on track in The Bahamas.
  • Sungjae Im (January 14)
  • Tommy Fleetwood (16-1)
  • Collin Morikawa (January 16): Thomas wasn’t the only one to tie the knot during the minor season as Morikawa was also seen on the altar. It is easy to forget that it was at this tournament a year ago that the two-time major champion reached the finals by six strokes. If he converts this gap into a win, Morikawa would go to world No. 1, but instead, he wonders what would happen if so. He is without a win worldwide since the 2021 DP World Tour Championship and while this drought is minor, it could start to weigh on him.
  • Jordan Spieth (18-1)
  • Sam Burns (18-1)
  • Tom Kim (18-1): There’s nothing a bit Tom Kim can’t fix. The Presidents Cup darling has enjoyed one of the stronger swing season campaigns on the PGA Tour. Outperformed Patrick Cantlay at the Shriners Children’s Open, the 20-year-old reappeared a few weeks later at the CJ Cup in South Carolina. The Hero World Challenge has been very kind to the newcomers, which bodes well for Kim’s prospects.
  • Cameron Young (January 22)
  • Shane Lowry (January 22)
  • Max Homa (January 25)
  • Billy Horschel (30-1)
  • Corey Conners (35-1)
  • Kevin Kisner (60-1)
  • Sepp Straka (65-1)
