Big Bad Toy Store opened pre-orders for a new Ada Wong action figure based on her appearance in Resident Evil 2 remake. Created by model makers Nauts and Damtoys, this model costs almost $360 to pre-order. It is placeable, includes premium accessories, and is quite large at 1/6 scale. [Thanks, Wario64!]
The Nauts and Damtoys model Ada Wong is about 11.81 inches (about 30 cm) tall and is designed in a 1/6 scale. Part of the company’s Collection Figures series, this figure combines the appeal of a figurine in a static pose with the versatility of a fully articulated action figure. The Ada Wong figure is built with over 30 movable joints to allow for a variety of poses. However, unlike the less advanced action figure lines, the joints are “seamless” and obscured from view. This makes the character look more lifelike and avoids the “doll fit” problem of most action figures.
The Evil 2 Rework, do it again The Ada Wong figure also comes with a range of accessories and wearable clothing. The selection will allow the owner to recreate her appearance from the game. In Resident Evil 2 remake, Ada is seen wearing the default jacket, gloves, sunglasses and scarf. However, choosing “Alternative outfit” option in the game to dress the characters in costumes that resemble their appearance in the original game. In Ada’s case, she wore a red cocktail dress, high heels, and a pistol. Parts are included to cover both populations. She also comes with a pistol, FBI ID badge, a typewriter with an ink ribbon, a cartridge, and the EMF display tool used to solve her puzzles.
The Nauts and Damtoys Ada Wong models are already available for pre-order, with shipping due in Q2 2023. The game is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. It is also available as a cloud version on Nintendo Switch.
