EVO 2022 will take place this weekend, and as part of this fighting game celebration, various companies have announced all kinds of related news. This includes more Nintendo Switch related news.

Skullgirls – New DLC Fighter Announced
Skullgirls celebrating 10 years, wow! To mark this special milestone – the game is getting a 4th character in Season Pass 1. Marie will be joining Annie, Umbrella and Black Dahlia. The team behind Skullgirls also announced Skullgirls Mobile, which will launch next year.
Pocket Bravery announced for Switch
Pocket bravery is a 2D pixel themed fighter inspired by ’90s classics like Street Fighter and The King of Fighters, and based on the influence of fighters from the Neo Geo generation. Pocket Color. It focuses on “advanced players” and features to teach beginners how to develop and evolve.
There are kick and punch commands, traditional commands from popular fighting games, and all sorts of special moves. Each character also has an elemental – allowing them to perform elemental attacks, unlocking new offensive and defensive abilities. Blazing Strike delayed to spring 2023
Aksys Games and developer RareBreed announced Blazing Strike was pushed back in Spring 2023 to help polish the overall experience. Crossplay is also possible on cards.

Samurai Shodown adds recovery netcode, but not for Switch
SNK confirmed Samurai Shodown, originally released in 2019, should get the recovery netcode to go online sometime in Spring 2023. Can you catch it? It will be available on all platforms except Nintendo Switch. Obviously “technical limitations” are to blame. Source: EventHubs
Marvel Cabinet vs. Capcom 2 revealed
Arcade1Up will add the Marvel vs. Capcom 2 into its line of home arcade machines. It will include a total of eight games, and pre-orders for the cabinet (with light-up console) will open on September 8, 2022 for $599.99 USD. The cabinet will feature cross-play with some other cabinets, depending on the game, and will also support online play.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina – Summer Update, new DLC fighter
Development Director of Melty Blood: Type of Lumina thanked fans for playing and updated 1.30 details – including two new fighters: the Neco-Arc and the Mash Kyrielight. Watch (Thank you, Gematsu).
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl – New Fighter, Hugh Neutron
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl there will be more Hugh Neutron from Jimmy Neutron as a DLC warrior for $4.99 USD. Also, he is available in the Season Pass package. See him in action in the introduction above.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is receiving recovery netcode
While there are no plans for additional character DLC or balance adjustments, Dragon Ball FighterZ Producer Tomoko Hiroki has announced a recovery netcode is coming to the game. The feature will be rolling out to PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. There are plans to bring it to other platforms at a later date.
