Porsche records sales of RM181 billion for 2022; Macan EV in 2024, large SUV on Cayenne coming soon


German manufacturer Porsche has released its figures for 2022, where the brand achieved 37.6 billion euros (RM180.9 billion), representing a growth of 13.65 compared to the sales figure. is 33.1 billion euros (RM159.3 billion). in 2021represents the brand’s all-time high.

Operating profit is 6.8 billion euros (RM32.7 billion) in 2022, up 1.5 billion euros (RM7.2 billion) from the previous year’s figure, or a 27.4% increase, while auto deliveries and net cash flow hit an all-time high last year the company reported last year and its profit on sales jumped from 16% in 2021 to 18% last year.

“In difficult conditions, we have achieved the most impressive results in the history of Porsche. We will also be able to offer our customers exciting new products again in 2022. This is the result of a great team effort,” said Porsche CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board. Oliver Blume said.

Porsche achieved 309,884 customer deliveries in 2022 – up from 301,915 vehicles in 2021 – despite many challenges, including the effects of the war in Ukraine, the coronavirus pandemic and disruptions to with the global supply chain. Net cash flow for cars increased from 3.7 billion euros (17.8 billion RM) to 3.9 billion euros (18.7 billion RM) in the 2022 financial year.

Porsche Vice President and Executive Board Member in charge of Finance and IT Lutz Meschke said:

Looking ahead, Porsche embarks on a ‘Road to 20’ program this year, in which the manufacturer aims to achieve an operating profit on sales of more than 20% over the long term, the company said. “We will be reviewing everything from our product range and pricing to our cost structure. We wanted to increase the quality of our contribution margin and make our product even more attractive,” said Meschke.

According to the automaker, the ‘Road to 20’ program is a continuation of Porsche’s Profit 2025 Program, helping the brand better weather the crises of previous years.

On the product front, Porsche will continue to focus on limited edition models as well as expand the ‘Sonderwunsch’ program, literally translated from the German term for special requests.
