Police shoot dead a knife-wielding suspect at a Florida university, authorities say

Melbourne Police responded to campus at around 10:40pm after reports of an armed man “assaulting students”, police said. “Melbroune officers and FIT security forces entered the building and were confronted by a man armed with a bladed weapon.”

The suspect was identified as a second-year student studying aviation science, FIT said on Facebook. Authorities have not identified a motive.
