A plane crashed in Broomfield, Colorado, shortly after taking off from Erie City Airport. The two private pilots on the plane died, but somehow a 7-year-old Pit Bull emerged from the wreckage without breaking a bone.
No one knows how Pit Bull named Chata survived the crash, but everyone is calling her a living miracle. The vets were immediately inclined to take care of Chata, but to their surprise, her injuries were so minor compared to what she’d been through. She is very lucky to have a second chance in life.
Lonely Survivor
Not long after the accident, a kind Samaritan found Chata wandering around a nearby neighborhood. The strangers weren’t from the area, but they still took the time to pick up the dog and take her back to the local shelter. Chata waited there until family members came to take her to the vet. She was at the shelter before first responders arrived at the accident scene.
“I understand that there were two victims in the plane crash but she belongs to one of them,” Dr. Ashley MacDonald, veterinarian staff at Arrowhead Animal Hospital said. “I know that the Chata family loves her very much and that her dad approved of doing something he loved doing with her. She even wore a little earplug in the plane when they were traveling together, that’s probably how she got that tear.”

MacDonald and other veterinarians at Arrowhead Animal Hospital cared for Chata. The Chata family was heartbroken and heartbroken, so the staff comforted them while making sure their furry friend was okay. Fortunately, the extent of Chata’s injuries were sore muscles and a wound behind his ear.
Chata returned to her beloved family
Chata is doing well now and has been discharged from the hospital. No one knows exactly how she survived the deadly plane crash, but they are grateful that she did. MacDonald said animals often do crazy, inexplicable things, and this is just another example of that.
“She did so well in the hospital, so sweet,” MacDonald said. “I was expecting a more critical, debilitated patient, but she was wagging her tail the whole time.”
MacDonald added that Chata will be able to comfort the family during this difficult time. Although their dog is still alive, one of their human family members died in the accident. Chata is like a piece of him that can help them in the healing process. After all, dog cuddling is the ultimate comfort for many dog lovers.
The details of the crash are still under investigation, but we may never know how Chata survived.
