“He’s been called a military dictator, but there has never been a stronger democratic system than the one under him… Pervez Musharraf led Pakistan at a very difficult time and who Pakistan believes that his reign was one of the finest in Pakistani history,” Chaudhury said in comments cited by Reuters.
