OwnerView today announced that it is accepting nominations for the 2022 New Owner of the Year Award, sponsored by 1/ST RACING, which honors a new thoroughbred owner who has achieved sporting success and positive impact on the industry.
Nominees for the New Owner of the Year Award must have started for the first time as a Thoroughbred owner within the past four years (2019), having an ownership stake in a horse at the time of writing. it won a stake race in the last 12 months and has a verifiable owner license in 2022. Purebred record as well as nominations to promote the sport will be considered.
Anyone, including the current owner, can nominate an owner who meets the criteria for the award. A selection committee consisting of industry personnel and established owners will select the winners.

Last year’s New Owner of the Year was awarded to Boat Racing, MyRacehorse, Larry Best, Churchill Downs Racing Club, Charles and Susan Chu, Sol Kumin and LNJ Foxwoods.
