Old Friends, Mastery Retirement Facility in Georgetown, Ky., will be hosting its 17th Annual Going Home Event on Sunday, May 8, starting at 12 p.m. ET.
The event featured a live and silent auction of racing art, prints and memorabilia, including some of the premiere collectible horse belts.
For those unable to attend the event, no-show bidding for these special string sets opens today. On the block there are straps made of:
American pharoah won the Belmont Stakes in 2015 to become the 12th Triple Crown Champion in history. By winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic that same year, he became the first horse ever to win the Grand Slam of the race.
Interrogation won the 2016 Travers Staking Award in record time in his first staking appearance. He then won the Breeders’ Cup Classic, the Dubai World Cup and the Pegasus World Cup. Arrogate dies in 2020.
Zenyatta , the super mare, has won the Breeders ‘Cup Classic, Breeders’ Cup Distaff, and 19 of her 20 starts. She was Horse of the Year 2010 and inducted into the National Museum of Racing and the Walk of Fame in 2016
Cigar won the 1995 Breeders’ Cup Classic and was Horse of the Year 1995 and 1996. During his illustrious career, he won 16 consecutive races and was subsequently inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame. The cigars were adopted in 2014.
Rachel’s Valentina known as the second pony in the 2009 issue of Rachel Alexandra’s Horse of the Year. She is also known for winning the First Class Spinaway Stakes at the age of 2.
Real won the Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup Classic 2020, where he set a new Keeneland record. He also won the Sham Stakes, the San Felipe Stakes and the Haskell Invitational.
Also on the block is a box of balls, handcrafted by local craftsman Jim Rose, in memory of retired old friends and the 1997 Kentucky Derby – Preakness winner. Silver Charm . The box contains a photo, a lock of hair and a lanyard of the Hall of Fame Champion.

At the event, someone will be assigned to proxy bids for you starting low and bidding up to your highest number.
The Old Friends Homecoming event will be highlighted by live music, a barbecue buffet and farm tours, where guests can meet the Silver Charm of the ranch’s Kentucky Derby champion, who is celebrating 25 years of battle won his Derby. He is currently the oldest living Kentucky Derby winner.
