Moquestan invincible brother and king Nyquist were brought back to the Milky Way Farm in Del Mar, California for the 2022 breeding season.
3 year old foal led by stallion Uncle Mo descendants of the person who has won over $80 million in earnings and has selected 42 graded stake winners.
Nyquist, Moquest’s brother, is the top cumulative second-season brood by progeny income in North America with 11 2-year-olds ranked from the first two. Nyquist is the god of the Kentucky Derby candidate in 2022 Slow down Andy winner of the Los Alamitos Futurity (G2) and Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) candidates in 2021 Turnerloose and Awake At Midnyte .
Both Moquest and Nyquist come off the mare in Forestry, Seeking Gabrielle. To date, her descendants have brought in more than $5.4 million in sales. Forestry is also an exceptional broodstock, producing 54 stake winners in 2021.
The Moquest, bred by Hinkle Farms in Kentucky, sold as an MV Magnier craving for $650,000 at Keeneland’s September 2020 Sale when consigned by Hinkle Farms. An injury during early training prevented the foal from starting field competition and it was acquired by the EAS Stall Union for $32,000 at Keeneland’s November Breeding Share Sale. last year from a shipment in the Hunter Valley.
Moquest will be assisted in the barn by his owners EAS Alliance, by crossbreeding several mares with him. He crosses particularly well with mares by Abnormal heat and Square Eddie .
He will donate $4,500 to LFSN for 2022.
