As of June 21, 2023, Gundo Mirei will no longer be a Vtuber with Nijisanji. According to an announcement Anycolor made on her official Twitter account, she graduated as part of an agreement between her and the company. Her last live stream will be on June 21, 2023 at 11pm JST.
Anycolor will cease production of Gundo Mirei merchandise on June 22, 2023. Once all the available goods in the store are currently sold out, they will no longer be sold in the store. Her social media accounts and YouTube channel and fan club will go private on June 22, 2023. We’ll have until July 31, 2023 to submit fan letter for her. The announcement did not reveal why Nijisanji Vtuber Gundo Mirei graduated.
Some online fans speculate that Gundo Mirei’s graduation is related to a comment she made while commenting on WBC (World Baseball Classic). IN March 2023, she tweeted, “Can’t pitchers knock a strong player out of the game by hitting their head or body?” Anycolor apologized for the comment, as did Mirei herself. As of March 23, 2023, Anycolor suspended her and revealed that they corrected her multiple times over previous comments in the past.
Gundo Mirei will graduate from Nijisanji on June 21, 2023. All her previous archives will become private on June 22, 2023.
