On my recent return home to Australia, I brought my two daughters, now four and six. It was the first time we went back in three years, and now that we’re both a bit older, they’re really interested in the old pictures my mother (their grandmother) took of me when I was little. . They laughed when they saw me like a two-year-old with spaghetti on my face, but as we went through it all, I couldn’t help but cringe at those old prints while I pondered the image quality. Photo and print quality was available during that time. “It would be nice to be able to bring those old photos up to modern standards,” I thought.
