Nathan Harrison joins Honda Racing UK for North West 200
Nathan Harrison will join Honda Racing UK in a CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP to compete in the 2023 North West 200 and Isle of Man TT, alongside teammate John McGuinness.
Harrison, 26, replaces Glenn Irwin on the Louth-based team, and is no stranger to north coast races, where he claimed two top 10 spots at last year’s event on Quayside. Hondas, finished 10th in the Anchor Bar Superbike race and seventh in the CP Hire Superstock event.

“Racing with John and joining the Honda Racing UK team has always been my dream. Coming from a Manx family always attached to motorcycles, TT has always been ingrained in my blood. Watching TT as a kid with John & Honda dominating it made me want to be the next ‘John McGuinness’ and that was my whole focus. I cannot thank Havier & Honda Racing UK enough for this opportunity. This is only my second TT, so to be in the tournament on a great bike, with the best teammate I could ask for, would be an incredible experience. Hopefully the long term plan of where John can teach me things I might not know, learning from the team with the experience they have on Fireblade and then my own progression, we can work on it. small steps in the last year to hopefully lead me to that top step in the years to come. I would like to take this opportunity to thank my parents for all their support and sacrifices over the years, the sponsors and supporters who have stuck with me and helped me get to this position, where I was given a great opportunity.”
Returning to driving for the manufacturer, with whom he has amassed 16 of his 23 TT wins, road racing royal John McGuinness MBE will reappear in Honda Racing colors on the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. Joining him in the 2023 campaign will be Manxman Nathan Harrison, a rising star of the streets.
As the most successful manufacturer to have raced at the TT, Honda is delighted to continue its relationship with the ‘Morecambe Rocket’ after their history-making year in 2022 as Honda celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Fireblade, in when John recorded his 100th TT begins. The two combined are a proven winning combination and are now set to continue to write history together for another year.

We also made the top 5 last year on the superbike, which is great, but I crave more. I just want to start now and keep racing!”
The move sees the UK Honda Racing team once again reaffirm its commitment to the International Road Racing program, competing against the NW200 and Isle of Man TT in both the Superstock and Superbike classes during the season. award this year.
