Marc Márquez hasn’t ridden a MotoGP motorcycle in the competition since his big accident qualifies for the Italian Grand Prix at the end of May. Later that same day it was announced that the eight-time world champion would be taking a break from the championship to undergo a fourth surgery on his injured right arm. His absence was definitely create a void in this year’s FIM MotoGP World Championship and on the results board for his team, Repsol Honda. Márquez has now overcome an important hurdle on his way back to MotoGP.
Marc Márquez originally broke his right arm during the 2020 Spanish Grand Prix. He attempted to return to racing just days after his first surgery. Márquez damaged the plate that was inserted to hold his right bone in place during the process. He was forced to undergo surgery again and sit out the rest of the 2020 season. However, he developed an infection, and his arm failed to heal correctly, and a third surgery. during the season becomes necessary. Despite this, Márquez is still unable to fully move his right arm and will experience pain throughout 2021 and early 2022.
Now, almost three months after his fourth surgery, Marc Márquez has been deleted by his medical team to begin motorcycle training to better understand the condition of his right arm.

Repsol Honda team director Alberto Puig seems a bit desperate to get Marc Márquez on the Honda RC213V during next month’s test in Misano, Italy to help develop the team’s bike for the 2023 season. In an interview with DAZN, Puig said:
“Personally I think he won’t be there for the race, but if he can be there for the test, and even if it doesn’t have to do the 100 laps a day test, but if he has can do four outings then say ‘hey. , no, or yes, it looks like this… ‘it will be important. If he doesn’t show up for the Misano test, it’ll be like that, because Marc won’t be at the test for a long time. So it’s going to be complicated.”
RCV213 is currently in need of improvement, at least. Honda is currently at the bottom of the list of builders. Factory Respol Honda Team and satellite LCR Honda Team ranked 9th and 10th out of 12 teams in the list of teams. The last time Honda finished in the top five of a Grand Prix was when Marc Márquez finished fourth at the Spanish Grand Prix on May 1.
