Mother Earth Starts The Year Strong With Victory At Curragh
Mother Earth has started her 2022 campaign successfully by creating a success as worker in the Lodge Park Stud Irish European Breeders Fund Park Express Stakes (G3).
Discarded by Ryan Moore, last year’s QIPCO One Thousand Guineas Stakes (G1) and Prix Rothschild (G1) winner was strapped to her collar for the prettiest 5-year-old Insinuendo inside the final stretch, and then had to dig deep to keep the runner-up a quarter of the length, with Freedom of speech farther than 1 3/4 of the length.
Coach Aidan O’Brien said: “We’re happy for that. “They were going very consistently and Ryan had to move earlier than her, but she settled quickly and that was perfect. for her after we give her a good rest. She will probably come to something like Lockinge Stakes (G1) now.”
Mother Earth exits the stake winning the Blue desert mare, Colorful who scored US$276, earned US$926 and won the Dance Design Stakes. Of the seven ponies to start with, the dam produced four winners including the group 2 winner Night colors who succeeded in Premio Dormello (G2). Last but not least, she has a 2-year-old girl Sioux Country dirty and longing naitional defense pony.
