Montana’s Love Tested, Wins unanimous decision over Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela

Posted on 08/05/2022

Montana Love is never a lack of courage.

The 140-pound racer gallantly took to the ring in front of a sizable crowd at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his pet dog. Love smiled, danced and took aim. But while he appeared to be enjoying the moment, he made sure to take care of the business.

Love stepped cautiously into the center of the ring as his fringe opponent, Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela, eagerly followed. In an attempt to take advantage of his four-inch reach, Gollaz frequently stabbed his elder in the face. A smiling love ducked low, carefully dodging Gollaz’s nagging stab. Moments later, Love connected with his first hit of the night, a straight left-hand hit. Just seconds later, history repeats itself as Love connects once more with a straight left hand. This time, Gollaz attacked the deck.

When Love returned to the center of the ring to start the second round, Gollaz cost him his overconfidence. In a quick and seemingly inconsequential exchange, Gollaz connected by means of a handover, sending Love to the deck.

For the duration of the round, Love stepped back, moving cautiously and trying to hold until his feet were below him.

Well aware of his man’s strength, Love launched a more calculated fight for the rest of the match. At times, he lands straight with his left hand in praise, while using his defensive acumen to avoid harm.

While that may have resulted in Love being vehemently booed by the Las Vegas crowd, he was awarded the unanimous decision pretty widely.
