When one woman adopted a small kitten and brought it home, she was shocked to see her steadfast German Shepherd, Tennyson, transform into a devoted big brother. The dog even offered to teach his little brother how to climb the stairs to his companion’s delight.
In this video, we see Tennyson watching over the kitten as it tries to climb the stairs. Mother wanted the kitten to be able to climb on its own, so she sternly ordered Tennyson not to assist him.

Tennyson was not convinced by his mother’s method of stair training. He can clearly see how his siblings’ tiny feet are failing him. The kitten was tired and called out to his canine brother for assistance shortly after.

By this time, the worried Tennyson had heard enough of Mother’s commands and gently lifted the kitten to her mouth. He walked upstairs with the kitten like a doting mother cat and delicately placed it on the floor. The kitten seemed quite relieved as it cuddled up with Tennyson lovingly. 😍

We admire the way Tennyson is pleased with herself after “saving” her kitten sister. He may have defied his mother, but Tennyson believes he did the right thing. This is a great place to start a lifelong friendship!
