When I was 10 years old, my extremities started to develop an itchy rash on the skin. It took years to seek help. She went to the vet and got an allergy but to no avail. Nizoral is an anti-dandruff shampoo. The ingredient ketoconazole in it is what helps. Target is less expensive than other stores. About $15. A probiotic is also very helpful. I gave her one made by zesty. Within 2 weeks of taking a daily bath and taking a probiotic, her hair had completely grown back and she was happy again. She wouldn’t eat probiotic chews alone, so I mashed it up with a small amount of plain or vanilla yogurt and gave it to her. Good luck! It took me 4 years to try different things.

Are they the inner dog or the outer dog? I’ve had a chihuahua for 16 years and it’s an indoor dog and the vet has told me to honestly bathe it once a season if that’s what it needs because it needs its skin’s natural oils. But it never smells bad or anything like that. Don’t worry, but a lot of bathing will cause dry, itchy and sensitive skin.
