MG Motor Australia increased driving prices from $500 to $2000 across nearly the entire petrol range for the 2023 model year, with ZS EV price rises to $4140.
A spokesperson for MG Motor Australia said: “The price increase is due to rising production costs and supply chain challenges that are affecting us and other brands.
Without any corresponding specification changes.
The company has confirmed existing customers are price protected and the price increase only affects vehicles manufactured for MYR 23.
Not every model has received a boost. Middle size HS SUV saw a $1000 price increase on the base Vibe Essence and X Essence and Plus EV Premium Essence variants, but prices were flat for the rest of the lineup.
MG’s cheapest model, Grade 3saw the smallest gains at $500, while the mid-range ZST Excite saw the biggest gains at $2000.
For the year 2023, the ZS EV There are no longer nationwide driving prices like the rest of the range.
Its rank will be strengthened by a new long range model, due in March. Pricing has yet to be announced for this.

The ZS EV costs $44,990 to drive for the base Excite and $48,990 to drive for the Essence.
