Metro PD: Pastor disarms man with gun during church service | News


NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – Metro Police reward a North Nashville pastor for stopping a person who pulled out a gun whereas in church on Sunday morning.

Police mentioned 26-year-old Dezire Baganda was sitting on the Nashville Gentle Mission Pentecostal Church on Trinity Lane. When police mentioned Baganda, with a firearm in hand, walked as much as the altar the place a number of parishioners and the pastor had been praying.

Baganda was waving the gun round when, in keeping with police, he advised everybody to stand up and “pointed the handgun on the congregation.” That is when police mentioned the pastor “rapidly tackled Baganda” earlier than he was in a position to fireplace his weapon.
