Kia Will Make Electric Vehicles In The U.S. Honda wants to bring some excitement to its Accord — including hybrids, of course. Toyota is tapping BYD batteries for its BZ3, but only in China. In an interview with GCR, Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius talked about the company’s broad pivot to electric vehicles, including the effectiveness of its next-generation architectures, the electric G-Wagen, and its software remake; and he hinted that the brand has plans to do more in the charging field.
Kia confirmed that it will also have electric car made in Georgia—At Hyundai’s upcoming “Metaplant”, which broke ground on Tuesday. Production at the Georgia plant for the brand will begin in early 2025.
Honda promises to “bring the excitement back” to the redesigned 11th-generation Accord that will be revealed next month. That includes a larger touchscreen and better hybrid performanceit says — and we’ll bet on the brand’s latest, reconfigured hybrid system from the CR-V to perfection for the latter.
Toyota is harnessing BYD’s LFP battery technology for Tesla’s 3rd size BZ3 sedan. But this model is the result of several China-only partnerships with the company and simply won’t be sold in the US (or Europe) in its current form.
The connected charging station that Lucid is selling to his Air allows Range 80 miles per hour charge—At home, ideal settings and highest charging speeds. Air’s extraordinary efficiency helps; and it helps take advantage of the Air’s built-in 19.2 kw charger. The device is ready for bidirectional charging that is not enabled.
