Nintendo shares more information about Z, N and Riku, characters that will return in the upcoming version Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC is redeemed in the future. Z appears to be working alongside Shulk and Rex prior to the events of the DLC. N is one of the Consuls of the Colony, and he is sent to attack the City on Z’s orders. Meanwhile, Riku is able to upgrade the party’s weapons.

Z appears to have allied with Shulk and Rex in the cutscene when they encounter a mysterious Alvis-like figure. Z confronts him and says “Is this such a bad thing that you want to wipe us out, my god?” Meanwhile, N is one of the most senior members of Moebius and a consul. He works for Z, and attacks the City on his orders, killing Matthew’s grandfather is Ghondor in process.

Riku will appear in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC is redeemed in the future. While he says in the main game that he’s a “normal nopon”, he seems to have some secrets up his sleeve. He can upgrade the team’s weapon. Also, during the conversation between Nikol and Shulk, Riku revealed that he was the one who created Shulk’s prosthetic arm. However, Shulk said that the arm was a little squeaky.
