Meat hell FPS Scorn delayed in 2022

Giger-inspired first-person shooter Scornful is due to welcome players to its bone and cartilage world this year, but not now. A new one Kickstarter Update says the game has slipped into 2022, and explains why the development team has been quiet for the past year.

It wasn’t a huge turning point: they were quiet because they were working on the game. Scorn was first revealed in 2016 as a way to raise funds – and it worked, first through Kickstarter and then through various publishers – but with that, they mostly want to keep bowing.

However, the Kickstarter update is pretty straightforward. It was shot with a team seemingly exhausted from people asking where the game was.

“Development hell is a term used quite often. It should be used for projects that have changed the core idea or scope among intermediate developers and cannot be adjusted,” reads post. “That largely doesn’t apply to our products. In our case, we’ve made a lot of mistakes and will make more in the future, but it’s a normal process for us to make a lot of mistakes. a new, inexperienced team. Everything that was done until mid-2018 was reworked, 90% of which was completely scrapped. It was about making it what we wanted, not release just because we gave an arbitrary number of release dates.”

At the bottom of the post, there is mention of the slide to 2022, with “official confirmation of the delay on December 10”. And finally, “a friendly piece of advice: If the lack of communication is too annoying, just ask for a refund and finish it. It’s just a game. You can play it when it’s over if you’re still in the mood. animal.”

I’m still interested in the fleshy shell, with its dripping bony proboscis and flower eyeballs.
