Masterline Poison Ivy Picture costs almost $1,400


The list of expensive pop culture figurines continues to grow. A new Poison Ivy character will run Batman diehard fans close to $1,400 to own. It is produced by Main Studio 1 as part of the Masterline Museum series. [Thanks, Dengeki Hobby!]

Officially known as Poison Ivy Batman: Silence (Skin color version), new Poison Ivy image depicting the icon Batman villain when she appeared in the 2002 “Hush” storyline. There is a difference, however. This version shows Ivy with natural skin tones. One Second Prime Minister 1 Batman: Silence character shows that Ivy has a more “standards-friendly” light blue skin tone.

The Museum Masterline Poison Ivy statue is designed in 1/3 scale and is 78.4cm (about 30 inches) high. The design shows Ivy sitting on one of her mutated vines. It costs around $1,349 on Prime 1 Studio’s website, but its retail price in Japan is 193,490 yen (about $1,490).

Batman: Silence run in Batman numbers #608 to #619 from 2002 to 2003. It was written by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair. The story follows Batman as he fights to unravel a grand conspiracy against him. Participants include Batman’s enemies like Killer Croc, Joker, and the Riddler, with a plan devised by a new villain: A bandaged man named “Hush”. In the comics, Poison Ivy uses her pheemone-based mind control powers to control Catwoman and even Superman into action against Batman. Batman: Silence It was later adapted into an animated film in 2019.
