Mark Chiodo received an old Penrite Honda Superbike and is also looking forward to getting his hands on a brand new bike this week for Garry House to begin construction to get ready for the 2023 ASBK season.
Penrite Honda will also help Chiodo process their existing setup data and the 24-year-old Victoria will run K-Tech suspension and Pirelli rubber.
Suspension technician Tim Hill will add his input to the program, and longtime Yamaha technician Jeff Brown will also join the Tiges family, confidants residence of the Chiodo family in the pit garage.
On this week’s Honda at Phillip Island, Chiodo went straight into 1 minute 33 seconds, the same pace as Herfoss on the Penrite Honda and Broc Pearson on the DesmoSport Ducati, on a sweltering day.
Chiodo only returned to the track a few weeks ago after recovering from several serious injuries suffered at the BSB Oulton Park circuit last September.
The main reason Chiodo switched from Yamaha to Honda was because he ran the Fireblade in the 2023 UK Superstock Championship.
Chiodo will return to the UK in 2023 to compete in six of the 12 rounds of the BSB Superstock Championship, while also completing the entire ASBK season here at home with the biggest team he has ever assembled for a single. ASBK attack.
