If we’re honest, we can all agree that most people at the pub lack the hand-eye coordination to catch objects – especially a dog falling from the sky. Okay, maybe not exactly from the sky, but from the rooftop. Close enough.
This is the case of Adam Ravenhall, 29, who caught the Jack Russell Terrier while flying over the roof. It happened at the Mount Pleasant pub in Kingswinford, Staffordshire in England.
The puppy, perched precariously, was found earlier in the day at a nearby park. The pub owner, Neil Lacey, took the dog into the apartment above the pub until his family could pick it up. They thought he would be safe up there, but they couldn’t be more wrong.
“We put it in the apartment upstairs while they brought the supplies for surgery after the game. The dog climbed out the window and onto the roof and someone said, ‘The dog is on the roof,’ Lacey told the Daily Mail.
Lacey ran back inside and told her staff to run upstairs and get the dog. Unfortunately, it was too late.

Terriers, as you probably know, are curious creatures. It was their curiosity and courage that made them excellent hunters. However, in modern times, their curiosity seems to see them fall off the roof.
Adam Ravenhall happened to be in the right place at the right time. He was at Mount Pleasant Pub to celebrate with his soccer team. He caught a glimpse of the dog and instinctively knew what was going to happen.
Ravenhall said: “I was reading the one mile situation, as soon as it was on the cliff I thought, ‘This can’t be going in the right direction.’ “As soon as I got into position, I thought the dog had fallen wherever I went. It’s probably dead, it’s just a little dog. ”
Ravenhall quickly got into position and braced herself. CCTV captured the whole ordeal, lasting only a few brief seconds.
Ravenhall was in the right place at the right time
Out of nowhere, Jack Russel flew into Ravenhall’s arms. He caught the little girl risking her life and caught the fall. Before it could lower the dog to the ground, it struggled out of its arms and landed on its head.
The dog was not injured at all. In fact, he was rushed off to continue his adventurous day, and yes, the lucky puppy is home safely to his family!
