Man caught “ghost dog” playing in the backyard on security camera

Halloween may be over, but scary things can still happen all the time, especially if you’re a believer in the possibility of the paranormal.

Or… scary things can still happen when there’s a logical explanation for a ghost dog being caught on camera, right? Well, the jury is still out on this one.

Is it a ghost dog or a malfunctioning security camera? You decide.

Either way, one Australian man was left baffled and stunned when he claimed to have captured a “ghost dog” on camera playing with his dog in the backyard.

The footage was captured from the security camera at the man’s home and shows what appears to be a white or transparent dog running around on his back and playing with his dog, Ryder.

The man, Jake DeMarco, from Melbourne, Victoria, who shared the clip online, still can’t believe it.

He insisted that it was impossible for another animal to get into his backyard because the 38-year-old father of two said his backyard had a very tall and locked fence running around it.

DeMarco shares how he made the discovery: “I was in the garage smoking a cigarette when one of the four live camera streams caught my eye. Ryder was running around as if he was playing with something or someone that was not normal behavior for him, especially at that time of night. I realize he’s not alone. I was very confused and shocked when I saw the footage because I knew Ryder was alone but had a friend to play with for a minute then disappeared into the dark.”

DeMarco also joked that his wife now watches the family’s security cameras more than their TV, hoping to see the “ghost dog” with her own eyes.

While you may or may not believe what you are seeing, you should know that the strange occurrence is not the first of its kind. Not long ago, a TikToker, Shannyfantg, shared her own strange incident regarding a “ghost” untied her dog’s neck. If these videos are to be believed, it seems that ghosts are very fond of dogs – possibly because they are so cute and cuddly.
