Magni 800 Filo Rosso ‘Redline’ – 125 hp – 150 kg wet
Magni 800 Filo Rosso Red Line
With Phil Aynsley
A relatively recent addition to Magni’s portfolio, the 800 Filo Rosso (Redline) is designed to pay homage to MV Agusta’s famous 500 trio that have led Giacomo Agostini to seven consecutive world championships.
It was first shown at the 2014 EICMA Show and uses the MV 800 Brutale as the base. Giovanni Magni (the youngest son of Arturo Magni, who managed the MV team in the 60s and 70s) put a lot of effort into recreating the look of the racer.
The tank has an identical shape, visible parts of the frame mimic the original, etc. The velocity stacks are meshed, like a Dell’Orto carburetor.
Brutale’s engine, electronics, tools, etc are all standard but the rest of the bike is custom built to the buyer’s specifications, so no two are exactly alike. This example is not equipped with Brutale’s ABS, for example.
Headlight assembly and rear license plate/indicator are included in the box.
The power of MV Agusta Brutale donk is 125 hp at 11,600 rpm, but wet weight is reduced by 150 kg, with a top speed said to be 250 km / h.
