Lucid Gravity SUV, Fisker platform, Saudi EV brand: Car News Today
Saudi Arabia is building its own brand of electric vehicles, with help from Foxconn and BMW. Fisker is shopping around for its platforms and the ability to sell emissions credits. Lucid is planning to introduce more affordable Air Pure and Air Touring models for the first time, as part of the entire Air lineup, at an upcoming event on November 15 in Beverly Hills. And there it will also reveal more information about Lucid Gravity SUVIt says.
Fisker has reported that it is exploring share its Ocean and Pear EV platforms with other automakers, as well as looking at future emissions credit sales. Platform sharing is not expected, as Fisker has relied on partner companies in some stages of development, as well as production.
Saudi Arabia and Foxconn are launching an electric car brand for the Middle East called Ceer, using a number of BMW-licensed components, the parties announced Thursday through the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF). It aims to start producing electric vehicles by 2025 for the Middle East and North Africa.
