LRT closed – alternative public transport options for KL Standard Chartered Marathon (SCKLM) 2022
KL Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM, formerly SCKLM) 2022 will take place this weekend (November 12 and 13), and scheduled to close the road for the eventThe biggest event in the local racing calendar, has been marked.
Now, after Disruption of service of the Kelana Jaya . LRT Linein there 16 stations on the line are closed until 11/15Prasarana and KLSCM event organizer Dirigo Events have announced free alternatives for participants who wish to get to the event by public transport.
Runners have the option of taking a bus (Line 2) from Gombak LRT station to Maluri LRT, where they can continue their journey on the Ampang LRT Line and get off at Masjid Jamek. Another option for participants is to take a bus (Line 1) from LRT Ara Damansara to Phileo Damansara MRT station, where they can continue their journey to Dataran Merdeka on the Kajang MRT line, getting off at Pasar Seni.
Meanwhile, runners living in the vicinity of KLCC can walk to the nearest monorail station to board the train to Dataran Merdeka. Joggers are advised to get off the Pasar Seni metro and walk to Dataran Merdeka.
Line 1 will use a double-decker bus with a capacity of 115 passengers, while line 2 will use a single-decker bus with a capacity of 53 passengers, running 15 minutes apart. Public transport will be available from 4:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, and from 1:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 13.
