Toyota just introduced a large number of concept cars as a preview of what it has planned for the future up to 2030. Naturally, Lexus was a major part of that, and it had its own group of vehicles on display, including the production RZ 450e. Not only that, the company claims to have full Electric Car with the goal of having all of its sales in North America, Europe and China get electricity. By 2035, Lexus will only sell electric cars.
Leading the lineup of the future electric car is the production RZ 450e. Unfortunately, no specifications have been given. It looks very close to concept car LF-Z from earlier this year, but with some of the more obscure details cleaned up and some really amplified character routes. We wouldn’t be surprised if it was closely related to Toyota bZ4X under metal.
Other cars on display are concept models that are likely to preview future Lexus models. The exhibitor is Electrified Sport. It has exaggerated curves, an incredibly long nose, and is very noticeable. Lexus says it must also have some eye-catching performance. It seems to be inspired by LFAand can hit the 60 mph mark in the low 2s range. And speaking of scope, the company estimates around 435 miles, and energy can be provided by the solid state the battery.
The other two vehicles on display were a sedan and an SUV, simply known as the electrified sedan and electrified SUV. The sedan shares styling cues with the sports coupe, but naturally falls short. The Electrified SUV looks like a more powerful, larger version of the RZ. Out of proportion, it looks like it could have three rows of seats, and it looks like it could be the next electric Lexus after the RZ.
