LDP evening rush hour study from Sunway to Puchong toll station stopped working after two days
Litrak has announced the suspension of evening rush hour research for the LDP Petaling Jaya toll station (most people call the Sunway toll station) to Puchong. Announced last weekreverse flow took place over two days, July 17 and 20. The original plan was to study for three months.
“According to observations from our upstream study… please be informed that the upstream study will be temporarily suspended until further notice. We acknowledge and appreciate all the feedback we have received from our valuable highway users. Your feedback is an integral part of the results of the upstream study and has been recorded for future improvement purposes,” Litrak said in a statement.
“Thank you for your cooperation and patience throughout this upstream research exercise. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to serving you better,” added the franchisee.
The now-cancelled upstream plan was to ease traffic congestion for LDP users on their way home from the Sunway toll station to Puchong. Specifically for the evening rush hour, it is supposed to take place from 16:30 to 20:30 on weekdays.
The opposite is from KM 19.2 after Canopy A of Petaling Jaya toll station to KM 22, from Bandar Sunway towards Putrajaya/Shah Alam. The upstream lane is merged back into the main stream where Binary College and Petron are located. For those traveling towards Puchong only, users entered the two rightmost lanes at the toll booth – see map above. It is likely that the plan caused too much congestion on the other side, from Puchong to Sunway.
