James was listed as problematic walked into Tuesday night with a stab wound to the stomach. Prior to that, he missed eight straight games earlier this month due to a stomach strain.
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, LeBron is expected to miss several games. According to the league’s health and safety regulations, he must quarantine for at least 10 days or quarantine until two negative test results are returned.
The 36-year-old has struggled to stay consistent this season, missing 11 of the Lakers’ 22 games so far through injury and suspension. In those 11 games, he averaged 25.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.
The Lakers hold a 7-4 record with LeBron on the roster and just 4-7 without him. They currently sit 11-11 in the season, seventh in the Western Conference after a strong start to the season.
