Looking at Anuka today, you would never know the incredibly difficult past she had to go through.
Life was extremely difficult for Labrador, who had lived in the yard of a dirty, dilapidated garage for several years.
She was emaciated, traumatized, and terrifying to everyone.
When Howl Of A Dog saved her and brought her in, she immediately thanked her.
They took her to the vet, where she was examined and treated.
When they gave her the first bowl of food, she inhaled it as if it were the first food she’d ever eaten, which made it clear that she hadn’t eaten in a very long time.
As the days passed, she began to gain weight and wagged her tail more. She is more and more confident and less afraid in front of people. She eventually realizes that not all humans are bad, and that these people are here to help and take care of her.
After more than a month of receiving TLC, Anuka looks like a completely different dog. She is healthy and most importantly she is happy.
Even though she is 5 years old, she still runs around and plays with her toys like a puppy. She has so much life left to live, and now all she needs is a loving family to share.
