Kyle Petty Charity Ride, Inc. announced that they will finally complete the 26th Anniversary Kyle Petty Charity Trip around the US after being sidelined for more than two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. From April 30 – May 6, 2022, former NASCAR racer and NBC Sports racing analyst Kyle Petty will ride 125 motorcycles on a Southwest adventure, completing one of the routes. the most beautiful in the history of Ride. Petty will cover more than 1,500 miles on a seven-day ride with approximately 225 participants, including nearly 40 new Riders, all to raise funds and awareness for Victory Crossing – a camp dedicated to providing life-changing camping experiences for children with terminal illnesses. Some of the highlights on the 2022 route include passing the track at Phoenix Raceway, riding on historic Route 66, visiting Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Monument Tribal Park Valley Navajo, views of Grand Staircase and Peak Humphries, etc.

Spectators along the 2022 route are encouraged to visit one of Ride’s seven overnight stops or daily refueling stops to greet Petty and riders, purchase memorabilia, and make donations.

Because of Ride, more than 8,210 children attended Victory Junction free of charge for their families. On its 25th Anniversary in 2019, Ride raised $1.7 million and sent 128 children to the Camp. Victory Junction has served as the primary beneficiary of Ride since it was established by Petty and his family in 2004 in honor of his late son, Adam.

Among the celebrities taking part in this year’s Ride are the NASCAR Hall of Famer and seven-time champion Richard Petty; NASCAR legends such as Harry Gant, Hershel McGriff, Donnie Allison and Ken Schrader; and the NBC Sports NASCAR character Rick Allen.
