The new message sent to the aliens will reflect on the Earth in danger of a climate crisis

This message was put forth by METI International, a group of scientists, sociologists, historians, anthropologists and artists who share the belief that humanity will benefit from communicating this message to the world. the stars instead of just waiting to receive messages from aliens. (METI stands for Messaging Extraterrestrial Intelligence, as opposed to SETISmart Search Extraterrestrial is more passive.) Goonhily Satellite Earth Station in Cornwall, UK, will broadcast climate change alerts on October 4 to coincide with the start time. World Space Weekwhich this year’s theme is “Space and Sustainability”.

When I read this, the first thing that comes to my mind is Gort…
I will tell them that when Gort shows up, they need to say “Klaatu barada nikto!”… However, that only works in 1951 original… Back when the aliens just wanted to stop us from sending war into space. This is like 2008 remakewhere Gort is an environmental terrorist.

Climate models wiped out all life in the Trappist-1 system. Well, almost all my life…
Notice about Trappist-1 . system in February, with seven rocky planets orbiting a supercooled dwarf star, sent astronomers everywhere waves of excitement.
At least three of the planets look like they’re in the star’s “habitable zone” – the region where water would be liquid. On that level, at least, the trio seem to be very good candidates for the life show host.
Now, however, 3D climate modeling is lowering expectations, suggesting that at most only one of Trappist-1’s satellites could support life.
The model was completed by Eric Wolf from the Laboratory of Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. In doing so, he hypothesized that the seven planets were – or were – covered with oceans, with atmospheres consisting of nitrogen, carbon-dioxide, and water vapor. The orbital and geophysical properties are inferred from the collected data.
When Wolf ran the numbers, the results were pretty sad.
He wrote in a paper submit on preprint website arxiv.
“So if water ever existed on the inner planets, they would experience a runaway greenhouse and lose water into space, making them arid today.”
The three outer planets, he added, are “beyond the outer edge of the maximum CO2 greenhouse of the habitable zone” and will transition to a lifeless snowball state.
So only the planet in the middle is a candidate to host life. Wolf notes that it can sustain “at least some habitable surfaces,” depending on nitrogen levels in the atmosphere. If the planet is in fact covered with oceans, then “the temperature of the Earth’s surface almost today can be maintained”.
