2023 Kia Niro was revealed for the Seoul Mobility Show. And as expected, it was a mix of By Niro Basic profile, but with much more visual flair inspired by HabaNiro . concept from a few years ago.
Coming from the concept version, there are many details, starting with sophisticated LED headlights and accents on the zigzag grille. The large lower grille also has a contrasting black border that blends into the front arches and along the doors. The concept also featured contrasting elements on the front fenders, but that has since been returned. It’s made up of by an even larger matte black rear panel on the HabaNiro. The slim vertical taillights also blend into the zones, and the rear gets almost no extra lighting for the two small recesses located in the rear bumper. The main difference is that this production Niro still has a slightly rounded shape and faces the road, rather than a more upright and rough shape. This is probably aimed at aerodynamics and maximizing interior space.
Speaking of interiors, it rotates on its own Kia’s Interior design with large driver-focused display. The layout is quite minimalistic and elegant, with screens shaped to match the arc shape of the panel. The other boards also have smooth, intersecting lines. The multifunction button panel below the screen is borrowed from New Sportage. Kia also included some green materials such as headboards made from recycled wallpaper and seats using materials made from eucalyptus leaves.
Kia hasn’t given specifics about the Niro’s powertrain, but it will be offered regularly. mixture, dip into the mixture and fully electric variants.
