Read on to Jenna Kutcher’s morning routine.

How would you describe life as an entrepreneur?

Wild! Lots of twists, turns, pivots and reinventions, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

What has been your biggest learning in the past year?

To continue to trust my gut! That’s what got me this far and it’s what will take me forward on a path only I can take. After four years of hitting the brakes in my career focusing on family, I was finally ready to hit the gas a little, and I managed to embrace that part of me again without thinking too much.

Start your morning routine…

It’s hilarious because even a few months ago, my morning routine was literally sleeping until the last minute possible and waking up to a baby monitor (often exhausted!) more sleep here, it still involves a lot of the family, but it also includes yoga, red light therapy, meditation and hot lemonade!

What does a typical day look like to you?

The typical dictionary isn’t really a word in my vocabulary, because I feel like no two days are the same as an entrepreneur – that’s part of the reason why I love being a founder. . In any given week, I’ll have a recording day, whether it’s my podcast or my interviews, I’ll write my own content or blog, I’ll wake up my girls and put they go to bed, and maybe a spontaneous dance party. I would look at my husband at 7:30 p.m. when the kids were sleeping and laugh, because we were both so exhausted but we realized that “these are the days!”

What time do you wake up, and how much do you sleep?

These days, it’s 6 a.m. and in the form of a 3-year-old obsessed with whether or not the sun will go out (this is merely payback because my mom says I did the same thing as a kid.) We want to be in bed and sleep at 10 p.m. every night, so I usually time it 8 hours of splendor—Though I can say that 9 o’clock will be my great time!

What’s the first thing you do when you wake up?

Take a deep breath and realize that it’s a gift to wake up. I’m really dead! I woke up to reality – pun intended – that every day is a blessing!

What morning rituals have you established for success?

Before school was over, my husband dropped our daughter off at 8 a.m., and I threw myself in front of us. Red light Joovv and meditate using Hyperice Core Devices (It’s helped me focus a lot and for me, getting results per session is addicting!) Now that we’re both at home in the summer, this ritual fits into my life wherever I go. I can’t find space, but it’s a sacred part of my day.

I wish I could name a laundry list of things like lighting candles and turning on music, but as I type this, I’m sitting next to my 3-year-old in bed while she organizes her “storage”. treasure” with a blanket. snuggled between us as I tried to concentrate.

I don’t believe in balance, I aim for mixing. And while it absolutely adds chaos to my days, I also love that I get to do both of the things I love.

On days when I needed to work intensively, I would hide in a closet (I’m not kidding!) Or sneak into a local office that an entrepreneur allowed me to use when needed.

Describe your morning beauty routine from start to finish.

Most of the morning, I just steam my face with water to clean from night, then I use Primally Pure Everything Spray And if I don’t put on makeup right away, I’ll put a few drops on Serum clarification on my skin and do gua sha!

I recently found something amazing All natural primer and mix foundation from Crunchi I’m INTERESTED, so as someone who used to wear no makeup unless I had to, I now wear it every day. Then a little bit Crunchi bronzersome DIME Brow Beauty Gel, Ilia Mascara, and Lipstick. I need a 5 minute makeup routine, so this is the product for me!

What do you eat in the morning?

Lately, I often eat smoothies because I don’t get hungry easily, but especially on busy work days, I need to make sure to provide enough energy for my body. My daughter also loves smoothies and helps me make them! I usually go for Daily Harvest Cold Brew and Cacao smoothies and then add Be Well By Kelly Chocolate Protein, Kale, 1 Tbs Chia Seeds, 2 Tbs Flax Seeds, and Almond and Cashew Milk with added protein. These really fill me up and they are delicious!

What will we always find in your fridge?

Cheese in many forms! My husband is from Wisconsin and we love our cheese. Parmesan, queso, cheddar, string cheese, melted cheese — you name it, we’ve got it!

What are your favorite books?

I’m what they call an avid reader — I love packing my reading list with a variety of genres just to keep my brain active! A few recent favorites are sure to be Atomic Habits by James Clear, Daisy Jones & Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and It ends with us by Colleen Hoover.

One Canopy Humidifier and water — hydration in all its forms, right next to my bed with my Kindle.

What’s your favorite getting ready soundtrack?

Trevor Hall anything. He is amazing, relaxing and I just love his music (hear him as I type!)

Do you exercise in the morning?

Recently, I made a rule in our house that if we woke up before 7am, we needed to move. I usually take a Peloton yoga class (hello to Chelsea Jackson Roberts!) I’m looking for this postpartum season, gentle movement and the breath gave life. We have a mat for Coco and I’ll open it up next to her and invite her to join me!

How would you describe your personal style?

Classic, neutral and comfortable – comfort is key.

What is your daily uniform?

It’s a myth, I haven’t worn shorts for over a decade due to insecurities about my feet, and now I’m obsessed with shorts and may be less concerned with cellulite or leg hair. This cycling shorts repeated for me with any kind boyfriend tee. I am also the queen of mom jeans and a white linen shirt – I actually share a story about this outfit in my book and how it was part of an important vision I had for my life years ago! I classic, throughout!

If you had an extra hour in the morning, how would you use it?

Honest? Maybe focus on work! I have ADHD, and the chaos of working with kids sometimes makes my brain feel like it’s going in a million different directions. Just having an extra hour to focus on work will be how I make use of that time this season. That or more sleep!

What are some things you do every day to live a happier life?

Practice gratitude with your family at dinner every night, tell my daughter 3 things that I’m proud of her, and do a short word of heart to my husband before bed.

If you could credit your success to one thing, what would it be?

Follow your guts and intuition, let go of things that no longer serve you, and be ready and excited to grow, evolve, and change.
