The first Chase Sapphire Lounge is now open in Hong Kong


The first Chase Sapphire Lounge officially open at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).

While this is Chase’s first airport lounge to open, the bank plans to open eight more in the near future. In addition, there are finally plans to extend operating hours at the Hong Kong lounge.

Here’s everything you need to know if you’re looking to head to the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong.

Lounge details

The Club’s Chase Sapphire Lounge is now open at the Hong Kong airport, located in the West Lobby of Terminal 1. It’s near gate 40 on the departures floor – Level 7 – and covers 11,948 square feet. Passengers departing from the East Lobby can reach the lounge by shuttle bus or 10-15 minutes on foot.

The Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong has not been rebuilt from the ground up but is instead a takeover from the existing The Club Lounge. The doors open on October 25, and current business hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. There are plans to expand these hours of operation in the future, but no specific details on this expansion are available yet.

According to a Chase spokesperson, the design of the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong is unique in its location, “taking inspiration from the host city through elements such as menus and locally curated art. “. Lounge features include separate spaces to work and relax, “fresh seasonal dining options, signature cocktails, local beers, and curated wine lists.”

HUNTING

As expected in airport lounges, there are outlets to charge your devices, free high-speed Wi-Fi, plenty of TVs and air conditioning. There are digital entertainment services such as newspapers and magazines.

You can use technology to enter the lounge and order food and drinks. After you scan your lounge eligibility card, you can access the digital menus and order is also done this way. The a la carte menu includes options for those with dietary and religious preferences, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Who has access?

As this lounge is branded as Chase Sapphire Lounge of The Club, cardholders of Chase Sapphire Reserve Free use of this and other upcoming Sapphire lounges. However, the lounge can also be used by members of Lounge Key and Priority card. That means those with a Preferred Card membership – even if obtained through a Capital One or American Express credit card – will have access to the lounge.

HUNTING

For Sapphire Reserve cardholders, you can enter the lounge by presenting your card upon entry. Priority Pass members can enter the lounge by presenting your physical or digital membership card.

This is an exciting addition for international visitors, even though it was only the first Chase Sapphire Lounge to open.
