JetBlue ends Go Long, Lucky 7 and Take 3 programs before refreshing TrueBlue



JetBlue is introducing some major “improvements” to TrueBlue program, including change to Mosaic state. But in the face of that, the airline is ending bonus programs that can deliver real value to frequent JetBlue passengers.

The airline said Friday that it will end its Take 3, Lucky 7 and Go Long bonus rounds by the end of the year. These bonus programs have been the mainstay of the TrueBlue program for many years.

JetBlue also said it has ended the ability to upgrade from Mint Suites arrive Mint Studio chair bigger with points as of November 30, although customers can still pay cash for the upgrade.

Each bonus program offers additional TrueBlue points to JetBlue passengers who have met certain flight requirements during a given year.

The Take 3 Bonus gave travelers an easy 5,000 bonus points – worth $65 according to TPG’s latest valuation – after flying three JetBlue-operated return flights in a calendar year, while Lucky 7 Rewards offers 7,000 bonus points – worth $91 – after making seven return flights in a year calendar.

On the other hand, the Go Long Bonus offers an additional 10,000 points – worth $130 – after a passenger purchases and flies 10 one-way flights operated by JetBlue that are at least 1,600 miles long. Flights between the coasts, to parts of the Caribbean, to London and more can meet that threshold.

Going forward, JetBlue detailed the changes to its TrueBlue program but offered few broad hints as to what could happen. The airline said in an email to customers that new ways to make money Mosaic stateAdditional perks for Mosaic members and the ability to customize perks will be introduced in 2023, along with new perks that non-Mosaic members can earn.

Meanwhile, TrueBlue members who are on their way to earning their senior year bonuses still have time to meet the requirements.

TrueBlue members earn between 1 and 15 points for every dollar spent on flights. Earning rate increases depending on service class, how you book, use JetBlue credit card and keep Mosaic elite status. Points can be redeemed for flights or vacation packages and can be combined with cash.
