Jaylen Brown, Celtics Reportedly Agreed to a 5-Year Supermax Contract worth $304 Million
Brown Jaylen will sign the biggest contract in NBA history.
The Star Wings have agreed to the terms of a 5-year super extension of $304 million with Boston Celtics, according to many reports. The contract includes a commercial player but is fully guaranteed and has no player options, The Athletic reported. Previous reports indicate that both sides are haggling over the inclusion of a viable player option and player trade.
Brown is having the best season of his seven-year career. He scored 26.6 points per game in the 2022-23 regular season, earning him the All-NBA title for the second team, making him eligible for a supermax extension this season.
The Celtics have been one of the top teams in the league since they picked Brown with a #3 overall pick in the 2016 draft, reaching the grand finals five times and the NBA Finals once.
Brown is entering the final year of the four-year contract he signed before the 2019-20 season, meaning it will run until the end of the 2028-2029 season.
