Legendary actress Janet Leigh passed away in 2004 but her daughter, co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, is still proud of her late mother.
A photo of Leigh from the iconic 1960’s “Psycho” shower scene was featured on the cover of Variety magazine for a featured issue of the “100 Greatest Movies of All Time”.
Curtis posted about it on her verified Instagram account.
“This morning I woke up missing my mom and wishing she could see the beautiful family I have, her two daughters healthy and thriving and let her enjoy the wonderful, creative year I’m having. yes, after a long time here. the same industry she loves,” the “Halloween” star wrote.
“The magic of movies is that they last forever, forever,” the caption continued to read. “So emotional to see her legacy today through the loving portal @variety as the #1 movie of all time.”
“Psycho” also stars Anthony Perkins and is directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The shower scene was hailed as incredibly innovative at the time and has since been recreated, forged, and praised in other projects.
Curtis and her sister, Kelly, are the children of Leigh and actor Tony Curtis, who passed away in 2010.
