Jalen Injury Update Hint: Rookie Orlando Magic sidelined for long time with broken thumb
Orlando Magic rookie Jalen Suggs is expected to be out for an extended period of time after breaking a thumb bone during Monday night’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

At the end of the fourth half of the 101-96 loss, the 5th overall pick in the draft went into the basket and popped up with his thumb injury following a collision from 76ers big man Joel Embiid.

He was seen grabbing his thumb on his way back to the floor and was taken out of the game shortly after.

What is Jalen Suggs’ wound?
The Magic initially reported Suggs’ injury as a sprain, but after undergoing further tests, he was diagnosed with a broken right thumb.

Based on ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Suggs will reassess the thumb when the Magic returns to Orlando but is expected to be out of action for several weeks.

Suggs was active throughout the first part of the rookie season, missing only one game against the Atlanta Hawks because of a sprained right ankle.
Through the first 22 games of the season, Suggs is averaging 12.3 points, 3.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 27.7 minutes per game.
Magic’s upcoming schedule
The Magic entered the December 1 game against the Nuggets with a 4-18 record, placing them at the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference with the worst record in the league.
After the home game against Denver, they face a tough run that includes games against the Warriors, Clippers and Lakers.
