‘I’ve Seen You Online Imitating Me’ Keke Palmer And Angela Bassett Reunited
It’s been 16 years since actors Keke Palmer and Angela Bassett appeared on the big screen. However, fans have not forgotten the undeniable chemistry between them, which is reflected in the mother-son relationship in the film. Akeelah and bees. They also can’t forget Palmer’s impressive Bassett impersonation skills.
The 29-year-old showcased her talent on WIRED and reenacted Bassett’s performance in The Jacksons: The American Dream and What does love have to do with it?.
It’s no surprise that Palmer killed off her 64-year-old impersonation, and since then, the internet hasn’t let her off the hook for that incredible skill.
Wow, that’s a damn good impression. Angela’s voice has a low tone and Keke has created a low explosive vibe to really do that.
Well, she’s so good. I love Angela’s voice so much that Keke can do it is an A+ for me

The cast finally reunited in an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair. In addition to touching on their similar looks, the pair also mentioned Palmer posing as Bassett.
I saw you online… You did great… A friend of mine in DC, she sent it to me. I don’t know what it is, it’s on Instagram or something. And I looked and of course, it was like heart, heart, heart, heart. I like it. I admire it.
Palmer replied, saying the skill was one of her “most notable impressions”. One, which she only did for Queen Latifah.
I just recently started doing it online and everything but whenever we work together – I did it for her once and she would say ‘Do Angela, do Angela.’
Bassett then had to witness it with his own eyes.
Okay, so Keke… we’re here together. You are finally here. I don’t have to watch you online. I can actually see it right here in front of me. Don’t be shy – you are not shy.
