Is this the best Fujifilm lens ever made?

Fujifilm has made some amazing cameras and glasses to adorn them, but one photographer claims that the lens is the color of the crop. So, is he right or is there something better that can be found in Fujifilm’s extensive lineup?

There are many documents claiming that Fujifilm’s medium format cameras have won me over and then some. During a trip to Tokyo, I tested GFX 100 and use GFX 50R. This led to me buying a 50R that I still love, but there’s something else holding me back on that trip: Fujifilm GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR. I didn’t think I would use a lens that would topple the Lord of the Red Rings, Canon’s 135mm f/2 L, but toss it, it did.

I find it difficult to articulate exactly what makes the lens so special to me, but really, that’s all. Every frame I take feels like a still from a movie, and every portrait I take, I want to print as large as possible and display it front and center in my house. So when I watched Gajan Balan’s video above, I was thrilled to share it. I’d say it’s not just the best lens Fujifilm has ever made, I’d say it’s in conversation for the best mass-produced lens ever made.

If you get a chance to try it on one of the GFX bands and you can forgive the weight of the setup, you’ll see why many of these lenses are so reversible.
