No doubt Canon has made some compromises to bring this lens back to its price point, but it’s not all doom and gloom. Measuring just 1.7 inches (4.4 cm) long and weighing 4.6 oz (130 g), this lens is exceptionally portable, making it a good partner with compact APS-C bodies for things like Daytime hiking or travel photography. Obviously, you shouldn’t expect top performance or picture quality from it, so if you’re looking for professional results, you should probably look elsewhere.
