‘I’ll put you to sleep’
Ryan Garcia has no problem admitting that he’s looking past his next opponent, Javier Fortuna, and heading for a super-lightweight fight with Gervonta Davis.
‘KingRy’ had his second bout of the year on July 16 against former superweight champion Javier Fortuna and Garcia turned down the challenge. when he talked to TMZ.
“He’s a former world champion, he’s a veteran. I expect him to come out and try to fight me as hard as he can, trying to be tricky but the reality is, I feel like I’m at my peak and at my best. ingenuity and spirit. I feel this will be a short night for Javier Fortuna.”
Garcia is determined to do it against undefeated lightweight star Gervonta Davis after Fortuna and made enough noise on the subject to start reporting on a monster battle.
The 23-year-old is also extremely confident that between two 135-pound players, he will prevail in breathtaking fashion:
“That war won’t go the distance, there’s no possible way it can go the distance.”
“I won’t let Gervonta Davis get caught. In my mind, I’m here to kill someone when I get in there, I’m not here to play points with you. “
“I will play points a bit, but my goal is to really destroy you. When I get there, Tank will know, and I hope he delivers.”
Garcia had one last message for Davis, who stop Rolando Romero for six rounds last month.
